OMG AMUSED
I found a . . thingy, that takes the stuff I blog about and pulls pictorial representatives of it off google.
What amuses me so much? It randomly pulled my own fanart for two separate things. Seemingly my fanart is the pull for Steve/Tony and Staruck/Apollo. LOL
( A Collage of my interests! )
So I really want to do some icons but then I figured I can do some tutorials! :D If you would like me to do a tutorial I am going to be letting the first 5 people request one (1) tutorial each. :D They might take some time because of work and whatnot so please be patient! You can ask away here. (:

Title: When Cars Fly
Gaining Access: OPEN
Author:
themadscriptor
Length/Word Count: ~7900
Alternate Links to Fic/Art: None of which I am aware.
Pairing: Severus/Harry
Rating: NC-17
Author's Website: The author has left fandom.
Why everyone should read this: Author's summary: P-n-W Flying Motor Works relies on Slug and Jiggers for certain vehicular potions—after all, that Muggle oil is rubbish, really. (Don't even get Harry started on the antifreeze.) When Jiggers goes on sabbatical, Harry learns that Snape isn't dead, knows a bit of Italian, and gives a really good blow-job.
I remember very clearly when this fic first posted: I was blown away by
themadscriptor's clever and creative use of both magic and canon.

I was wondering, what do people reckon the ratings will be like for the Eleventh Hour?
For comparisons:
Rose: 9.9 million
New Earth: 8.62 Million
Smith and Jones: 8.71 Million
Partners in Crime: 9.1 Million
Planet of the Dead: 9.54 Million (9.75 inc. HD)
The Waters of Mars: 9.94 Million (10.32 inc. HD)
I'm into customizing my Daleks and after seeing the series 5 trailer, I knew that I'd have to make that one. My only trouble is, there are a few details that I can't quite pick out, and am wondering if I can get some feedback on it. Or, if anyone has any large and high resolution caps that would be even better! I feel that getting the opinions from more than myself (and my dad, who doesn't know what to look for exactly) will be quite helpful!
Yes, this post does contain spoilers for series 5 so please do not click on the cut if you do not want to be spoiled!
( Spoilers for series 5... including screencaps... )
Thanks for your help! I plan on beginning my project tomorrow, as I just received two extra Dalek Thays in the post today! I'm quite excited to be taking this on, and even more grateful to timelordwannabe for posting that trailer that just made my entire day soar! Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Word Count: 5300
Alternate Links to Fic: none That I'm Aware of
Pairing: Remus/Tonks
Rating:PG
Summary: Though still weak from their battle wounds, Remus and Tonks join the Order of the Phoenix for one final mission, this time within the Ministry of Magic. While there, they each have a chance to think about the past, and look forward to the future.
Author's Website: Author's LJ
Why everyone should read this: This is my favorite type of fic! AU denial all the way! This explores the aftermath of the war and how R/T are each dealing with it in there own ways. They go to clean up the ransacked ministry after the final battle, and Rmus and Tonks (with baby TEddy in tow) each face their own personal demons.

Title: Outdoorsy Women
Author:
thegiantkiller
Word Count: 1200
Alternate Links to Fic: none
Pairing: Rolanda Hooch / Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank
Rating: G
Summary: Professor Grubbly-Plank invites Madam Hooch on a picnic.
Author's Website: There Be Giants Here
Why everyone should read this: For a series that relentlessly wields the hammer of heteronormativity, the HP books offer us a rather surprising number of fun, butchy, untraditional female characters. In this story, we see two of the best of these -- Hooch and Grubbly-Plank -- as they seduce each other (sort of) by discussing how lesbian witches do or don't recognize one another. Both are minor characters in canon, but JKR sketches them fairly vividly, and the author presents them here in ways that are IC and appealing.
Despite the fact that there's no magic in this fic, I think it feels very much a part of the HP world: it's about the ways we "read" people, the codes we use to recognize those who are like us, whether that likeness leads us to find wizards among Muggles or queers among hets. The inability of wizards to fit smoothly into the Muggle world, and their ambivalence about doing so, is one of the things that has already read "queer" to me about HP.
There are some formatting glitches in the story file, but it shouldn't be hard to read.

Yes I know I'm very behind. I hope to catch up eventually.
We continue this rewatch with The Army of Ghosts\Doomsday. With a score of 83.38%, it reaches #22, making it the second highest ranking cyberman story (just beaten by Earthshock). This story is notable for marking the last appearance of Rose as a regular companion and the first appearance of Torchwood proper (not counting parallel or future). This story is most well liked by fans since 2005 (who rank it at #4) and those aged -18 (who place it at #5). It is less well liked by longer term fans (who rank it [presumably] at #26) and those aged 18-35 (who place it at #32).
But what do you think? Please post your reviews, comments and thoughts here. All are welcome.
I will post Human Nature\Family of Blood as soon as I can.

Loving the look and feel of Angela Steffen’s Lebensader. The synopsis: “A little girl finds the whole world inside a leaf.” Click on “Film” to view a one minute clip. The animation is fluid and the character designs (as well as everything else) look fantastic. I’m confident after watching what little I can of this film that good animation and good design can co-exist. Beautiful. Be sure to click on “Artwork” to see Angela’s conceptual ideas and designs as well as storyboards. I’m certainly inspired.
